Challenge / Cook a new meal every day for 30 days.
If you followed yesterday’s challenge, you’ll know I stayed up till 3am rearranging my dining area to be fit for guests. Here’s the finished result:
And with the lights down:
As you can see I got creative with the lighting! I decided to fit my glass table with variable colour LEDs, which I can set to any colour and even animate slowly if I feel so inclined.
I added new shelving, square plates and metal table mats for the finished look. It certainly makes my food photos look better!
So what did I cook? I couldn’t pronounce it, but the Polish is “Kotlet Schabowy” (breaded pork chops), “Ziemniaki gotowane” (boiled potatoes) and “Mizeria” (a cucumber/cream mix). It’s actually a really simple Polish dish, but it did take me a while!
The end result wasn’t bad, but the pork was pretty tough. I don’t really know why. When I get some spare time I need to read up on cooking meats properly – I’ve never even tried to cook pork before.
Tomorrow is my first attempt at cooking for other people. Perhaps I shouldn’t admit this, but I still have no idea what I’ll be cooking – wish me luck!
